Keep the final files together
Prepare the final audio for every track and the artwork you intend to use. Listen through each audio file and check that the correct version has been selected. Avoid mixing a demo, an earlier master or a different edit into the release by mistake.
Check the current upload requirements in your dashboard or with the team before exporting files. This checklist covers preparation; it does not replace the technical requirements for a particular platform.
Check the information attached to the music
Review the release title, track titles, artist names, label name and credits together. Consistent spelling makes it easier to review your catalogue and identify corrections before submission.
- Confirm the track order and the version of each recording.
- Check primary and featured artist names carefully.
- Prepare the contributor credits requested during submission.
- Check the release language and explicit-content information.
- If you already have artist profile links or release identifiers, keep them with your release notes.
Review the artwork and permissions
Check that your artwork belongs with this release and that its text matches the intended artist and title. Keep the original file available in case a correction is requested.
Be ready to provide the ownership and permission details requested during review for the recording, music and artwork. If you are unsure whether your material can be distributed, discuss it with the team before submitting.
Plan for review and possible corrections
Submitting a release and having it available on a platform are separate steps. Release timing depends on review, corrections and platform processing.
Share your intended release date and ask about timing before announcing a firm launch. If the team requests a change, update the relevant file or details and check the full release again.
Keep a clear record of your submission
Keep your final audio, artwork, submitted details and any release identifiers together. When asking for help, include the release title and UPC or ISRC if available. That gives the team useful context without needing your account password.
